A gate for grain, then for credit.
Wheaton Gate takes its name from the old way prairie grain came into Chicago: a name at the door, and a merchant who was either good for the bill or was not. The desk that uses the name was set up to do the unfashionable work: small and mid-sized facilities for businesses a bank scores as noise.
We are not a marketplace, not a broker who sells your file six times, and not an exchange. Facilities are underwritten, documented and repaid. When a supplier wants dollar tokens, treasury sends them. The loan agreement is still in dollar terms.
Credit
Reads the accounts, the invoice and the purpose. Decides. Does not hand the file to a panel you will never meet.
Treasury & rails
Dollar accounts, pledge addresses, and the USDC or USDT payment. They quote the rail before anyone accepts it.
Client partners
The person who answers. Based in Chicago. The same voice the second time you call, and the tenth.
Who we will not lend to.
- Personal consumption, including an owner’s own spending.
- Buying crypto with the advance. Collateral is something you already hold.
- Files we cannot explain to ourselves in a page.
- Anyone who needs the money to look like a deposit. It is not.
